Arrived in Odense, hosted by Food & Bio Cluster Denmark. Time for the HarvRESt project general assembly, discussing the progress of the project and the upcoming review with the EC. We are presenting the smart energy system which help agribusinesses, agricultural cooperatives and agricultural communities to save money on energy and make money by selling excess renewable energy. The system consolidates data from all the energy equipment on a farm, e.g., PVs and batteries. It then processes this data to ensure it is high quality and uses it for:
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 -when the farm will need energy and how much renewable energy, like solar power, will be generated.
𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 -define the best strategy for maximising "self-consumption”; figure out how to use as much of the self-generated renewable energy as possible on the farm itself.
𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 -consolidate the strategies and share instructions with the operator of the farm's energy equipment, or automatically guide the equipment, like a battery or a smart pump, how to operate to follow the strategy.
