Suite5 Data Intelligence Solutions is taking part this week in the final in-person General Assembly of the HarvRESt project, hosted in Egersund, Norway by NORCE Research, where the consortium came together to plan the final steps toward the project’s successful closure.

As leaders of the project’s modelling and optimisation of #RES alternatives, we had the opportunity to demonstrate two of our key contributions to the consortium: the HarvRESt Dashboard and the alpha release of the HarvRESt Decision Support System #DSS, the tool that is turning energy and farm production data into clear, actionable investment recommendations for agricultural communities transitioning to renewables.

The highlight of the day was a visit to Kjell Ivar Ueland‘s Røysland Gaard in Bjerkreim, Rogaland. This farm is one of HarvRESt’s five real-world use cases. Seeing first-hand the progress of the farm’s energy transition was genuinely inspiring: new battery storage coming online, two wind turbines underway, and PV panels going up on the rooftops, all working toward our ambition of full energy self-sufficiency alongside its livestock operations.

We closed a full and inspiring day with dinner at Nyyyt, the farm’s own restaurant. This was a great reminder of why this project matters: renewable energy and agriculture, growing together.
